Edukasi Perbankan dan Manajemen Keuangan Sederhana bagi Pelaku UMKM Pengrajin Songket di Kota Palembang

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve banking literacy and basic financial management skills among MSME actors, namely songket craftsmen in Palembang City. The background to the activity is a limited understanding among business actors of banking services and a limited ability to maintain structured financial records. The implementation method uses a practice-based, participatory approach, with interactive lecture techniques, discussions, simulations, and case studies tailored to participants' business conditions. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of banking products and services, as well as the initial ability to do simple financial records. In addition, participants began to realize the importance of separating personal and business finances, and showed interest in utilizing banking services to support business activities. However, there are still obstacles, including a limited understanding of financial terms and old financial management habits. Therefore, further assistance is needed to ensure the changes that occur are sustainable. This activity contributes to strengthening the financial capacity of UMKM based on local wisdom and to supporting the development of the creative economy at the regional level.
